Lucifer: The glory, pride and fall
Reading:
Ezekiel 28 vs 13-19kjv
Key verse:
17kjv
Decked with
an irresistible array of precious stones that were weaved flawlessly providing
a covering that is immortal to behold. The perfections and other eternal,
magnificent features he possesses earned him son of the morning. Then a moment
came, he felt he has it all that it will be too low of him to serve His Master.
He became sick, that of the mind. The tail end of that was tragic. For it
corrupted his heart. He began to entertain the thoughts of being like God. And
it was there he embarked on a fall of no rise.
Pride,
corrupted, devoured and destroyed Lucifer. Wisdom was turned to craftiness,
acceptable service to profane service, anointed cherub to eternally doom devil.
He lost his place and eternal abode
with God.
The glory
you exude today should not get into your head. You may be a beauty to behold or
handsome or rich to a fault or brilliant to the core or possess all the goodies
people crave for in life. Don’t let what you have to get into your head.
Yes, the
possibility of people revering you is there but do well to divert it all to God
because whatever you are is not by your strength or might is all by His grace.
The possibility of objection is there but if
you think it deeply on the light of the WORD of God you will understand wholly
and completely that if there isn’t life/sturdy health you wouldn’t have achieve
whatever you achieve.
Pride leads
to a fall. God does well to always resist the proud.
He resisted
Lucifer and He will always resist as many that will take that path.
Thoughts: What
do you have that you didn’t receive? Is it beauty, riches, affluent background,
intellectual prowess? Do you prefer God humbling you or you humbling yourself?
Prayers: God
give me the grace to always remain humble and submissive to you irrespective of
whatever height I may attain. This I ask in Jesus Name
