Boundless Faith
Reading:
Mathew 8 vs 5 – 11kjv
Key verse: 10kjv
As a man
that commands power and wields authority, having a hundred soldiers under his
command, he had a first-hand experiential knowledge of what his position worth.
Yet, when he met Jesus, he addressed Him as Lord. He recognizes Christ as a man
of higher authority and that is why he referred him as Lord.
Christ told
him that he will pay him a visit after receiving his request but he felt the
unworthiness and suggested that only the word can set his servant free.
That was a
demonstration of boundless faith in the word. Some in this walk of life will
always prefer a man of God to touch them or come to their house before they
will believe the WORD.
It is not supposed
to be so. For it is not the man of God that heals but God. And the word of God
made us to understand something in the book of John 1 vs 1, that the
WORD is God.
When you
hear the WORD, it could be over radio, television, internet, hard copies or whichever
medium the WORD is being conveyed, have faith in the WORD. There is no boundary
with the WORD but you could limit your faith and at the end of the whole thing
it will seems that nothing is happening but my prayer is that will not be your
portion.
From today
cultivate a boundless faith. God’ power can never and will never be limited. It
doesn’t matter wherever you are on the surface of the earth.
In Numbers 14 vs 21, said his glory filled the earth. So anywhere you are, know that
His glory is there with you, so believe His word and your life won’t remain the
same.
Thoughts: Is
the state of my life caused as a result of my limited faith in God? As a
believer and follower of Jesus Christ, how is my faith? Does it have elastic
limit?
Prayers:
Lord, I pray and plead passionately that you increase my faith. Help me to have
a faith that knows no boundary. To always believe your word always. This I ask
in Jesus’ name. Amen
