The Call of God
Reading: Jeremiah 1 vs 1-9
Key verse:
7-8kjv
His
physique, physiognomy, age reflected perfectly in his response. The Benjamite
from the family of Hilkiah — his father, deem himself unfit to carry forth the
task that is about to levy on him. That responsibility he dreads it with every fiber
in him but unknown to him, he was born ready for that.
The Lord
unveiled to him something unique about his conception and birth he has no fiber
of knowledge about, dissuaded him from the course his mind has trailed,
encouraged him not to imbibe fear and finally empowered him to go and fulfill
the quest.
Sometimes in
life where we are born, our background, negative patterns or occurrences,
history bring impediment to us fulfilling our call, mission, purpose here on
the earth. But the good news is this: irrespective of all the but, negativism,
challenges, obstacles in your life, God
who created us and formed us knows that we can if and only if we let Him have
his full ways in our lives.
You should
know that you can’t fulfill God’s call in a lifestyle of sin, evil. Little
wonder God sanctified him--vs 5kjv. Yes, God’s call is without repentance but
fulfilling God’s call in a way that it will please God, you must have been
genuinely repented from your sins and lived a conscientious, sober life with
the word of God the driver of your life.
Thought:
Have you heard the Lord spoken to you on the quest he has for you here on the
earth? Do you want to hear him speak?
Prayers:
Lord open the ears of my heart to hear you, fill me with the spirit of boldness
and sound mind, grant me fluency under you auction to carry out the quest you
have for me. This I ask in Jesus Name.
