Speaking against God’s anointed: Consequences

 Reading: Numbers 12 vs 1 -14

Key verse: 1

Everyone, especially the folks that have the tag—Pastor and its similitude, he holds in high disregard, momentous disrespect. Casting aspersions became his watchword and he does it with an art that some of his listeners, are thrown in a state of elation although a few among them do tell him that he should be taking it soft with them.  But that remarks always return with this response: “harder and harder, I will continuously hit them”.

Moses got married to an Ethiopian woman. Miriam and Aron who happened to be older than him weren’t pleased with the marriage and that led to criticism.  They criticized the marriage to the degree that they questioned his stance before God—as a mediator chosen by God of Israel to speak with and convey his message to the children of Israel in their quest to the promise land doing their dispensation.

Chase Morgan waggling of tongue and inking deformable things in his column did not continue as he thought. He had an encounter that changed his life forever towards a downward trajectory. And a similar fate, meted upon Miriam when the Lord visited them because of their speaking against His servant. She became leprous, although in her case, she was redeemed from it when her brother, Moses cried before God.

Dearly beloved, don’t wait to be stricken with a sickness or suffer affliction before you refrain from speaking ill against servants of God. Most of the affliction people suffer these days, if the mystery its unraveled to them, there exist a possibility of them being the cause of it—more of it like from their waggling of tongues or inking inglorious things. Instead of speaking ill, keep mute, if you can’t redirect that energy to prayer or at most channel that energy in your life business. Learn to mind your business and talk when it is necessary with discretion directing your speech.  Eschew with utmost passion, being a gossip, busy body, rumor monger and defamer.

A fool when is quiet and doesn’t meddle, its perceived wiser than a claimed wise man that meddles in things that isn’t his business.

Thoughts for today: Do well in this life to focus that energy used in meddling to something profitable and you will see great results you will receive. Doing otherwise is dangerous, disastrous and damnable.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me the grace to speak when it is necessary and refrain from meddling. This I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
