Nothing less
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he shall be with his people, and God himself shall be
with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all
tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
(Revelation 21 vs 3-4)
A day in this verse, every thing will come to a final full stop.
The curtains of this phase of life will be drawn paving way for another chapter
that is without end. In a moment, it will become as if it wasn’t. Social status,
political pedigree, intellectual prowess and financial strength will matter no
more. Only our works here on earth will stand. Those that remain steadfast till
that day from now, irrespective of their trials and travails that have left some in
a state of tears, pains will laugh last.
Where the
so-called friend can live
in a dream
of thrusting his knife
I have known
that kind of world
Where the
streets are forged
With all
manner of mud
I have seen
those kinds of people
That know
nothing but to wriggle
And get
away with it in a twinkle
I have been
acquainted with that master
Who dreams
to see you lather
And tells
you is for your better
But I know
about a place
Where I
shall never find these
And life is
eternal with Christ and nothing less.
